The Oscoda Area United Way was the recipient of a mini-grant through the Michigan Associated of United Ways and the Federal Home Loan Bank. Oscoda Area United Way was awarded one of 10 $5,000 mini-grants to serve local agencies that provide food and shelter to ALICE households (asset limited, income constrained, employed). The Oscoda Area United Way will be distributing the funds between Oscoda FISH, the Oscoda Backpack Program and the monthly food give-away program through the food bank of Eastern Michigan.
