Oscoda Area United Way works to support a local non-profit at each of our meetings. It might be a request from one of our agencies or another local non-profit who needs a little extra support.
The first donations for the 2023-2024 campaign have gone to three of the teachers at Oscoda Area Schools. These three teachers provided some great student talent at our Kick-off in September.
Jamie Merdzinski, Art Teacher at Richardson Elementary received $100 for extra supplies for the Richardson Art Studio that serves grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.
Mike Berenkowski, Enrichment Photography Class Teacher at Oscoda High School, received $100 for extra photography supplies.
Karen Lopez, Music Band Director for both Middle School and High School received $100 to help their program as well. Oscoda Area United Way donations all stay in the Oscoda Area.
