A message from The Goodar Township Fire Department:

Local Business,
This year we are happy to announce that Goddar Township Fire Department will be hosting a Camp 911 for kids and their parents to attend. We are putting on this Camp 911 for Ogemaw and Iosco families to attend. The first event will be taking place on the 9th of July. the hours of camp will be from 9am to 4pm. We want to make this a year around event for kids to be able to participate.

Camp 911 will help kids understand the importance of home safety, child abduction and will be able to go around and learn about Police, fire and EMS services. Along with other activity’s that we will have for them to attend

  • Fingerprinting for kids
  • Smoke house (learn what to do in the event of fire)
  • T-shirts for attending event plus safety information
  • Learning positive reinforcement
  • Kids can explore the fire trucks, police cars, ambulances and even the helicopters that are going to be here
  • For the older kids to meet Fire Cadets to learn what it takes to become one

Goodar Township Fire can only achieve our goals with the help of generous donations from supporters and community businesses, this year our goal is to raise $15,000 so that we can continue to educate our children of the community, give out CO2, smoke detectors, and hold other weekend day camps for kids to attend.

We need your help to make this happen! The last Camp 911 that I help put on, there was over “Five hundred kids” attending throughout the day. And I am hoping this year to see a bigger turn out.

We need your help to make this a successful event. Please help us make this happen. Remember, today’s kids are our future. Help us get this program up and running. If you have any questions, concerns, or any ideas for extra events for the kids, you can reach me at my cell phone listed below. We appreciate your donations, time and help.

Please call me if you have any questions concerning this matter. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Sincerely,
Stephen Estes
